It would appear that we are being told, without being told, that Sandy is finshed with AK.

Folks, if Sandy wanted to be here, he would be here. Times and people change, as do priorities, tastes, and interests. Cyberspace gets old sometimes. Forums also change, and cease to be what they once were, making them less attractive to some.

Sandy is good people, and I'm sure we wish him well as he continues his life journey...

Ok just to touch base here, I got a hold of unca Sandy. He's doing well, an yes his computer bit the dust he will have another soon, an yes he will be back asap.
He's still out there coming up w some vintage gear lol. I do have his number, w his permission given, I can give it out if you'd like to give him a buzz. Just shoot me a pm, an I'll give it to you.

Vintage gear probally means old "boatanchor" communication gear ie. (Shortwave receivers).thanks for the update jami.please ask him if i can have his number just mention my username here on ak he and i know each other for our love of the o!d type shortwave radios.

That's so good to hear! We'll have to have "Sandy Day on AK" when he's back on!
 
Hmm...I just looked up a member who was last seen on July 1, 2015, according to his AK details page and his post count is still shown as 1,245... :idea:
 
Well, I'm back, Beyotches! Got a computer geek bud of mine over here, & he got things at least SORTA "Ship-Shape" again. Missed you Yardbyrds like you'll NEVER know.. Have tried hard to Kill myself since about Thanksgiving. Started a nasty jag of falling about then. Couple of weeks back, woke up on the floor between my bed & the wall. BIG fun bein' 60 &a mass of contutions. Not due to anything other than being 60, fat, & clumsier than hell. Got a humongous "Pone" on my rt cheek that I need to lance, & get rid of the general nastiness. Fun, fun, fun, since they took my T-bird away...
