They are a nice receiver, but I would value at $100 max for a unit that is basically untested and rather dirty.

Going to need a restore . Going to need bulbs .going to need cleaned . If the outside looks like this the inside a warrent for a lower offer . The good news? It can be cleaned up and when restored for you to listen to everyday I wouldn't offer more than $100 either . I have one serviced that I paid all together $275 . So the seller is very high in his asking price get him down to a hundred if not move on to the next one .

I would be more concerned about the position of the volume control, if they were testing it that way. Unless "testing" means plugging it in and seeing if it comes on. Which is probably the case.

Kinda cruddy for that price.
