I just checked eBay and the highest one sold for $735 plus shipping on Feb 25, so yours should be worth at least that much. But that was a Salvation Army , tested working, but some people treat it as a donation. Next one down at $695, both stock condition.

Depends on if you're buying or selling said Sansui?? Some of the eBay buyers are not that knowledgeable , and they blindly plunk down the money just to get a hold of one...

Interested in a 8080db local asking is $700 restored

I'm not much of a fan of paying that high, but if you can get it for $600, I would say that's a deal...a restored Marantz 2275 will run you $1000 or so I would think...

Yeah my thoughts on the 2275 as well . Looks like the 8080db can be had for $650. Going to check it out Saturday

I bought one for $60 ... <G>

Yard sale special, and the case is horrible. All there, face and chassis are clean, and it DOES fire up and work, but has the intermittent issues due to the infamous double sided board. Call it a project ... someday ... when I get to it ... maybe. ;-}

What does restored mean and is that a full recap with the proper caps?

Lots of things to consider when looking at something that is up priced for some work.

did you get it? results of the viewing?

... and let's not forget re-pinning of the dolby board. Ain't saying it's always necessary, but it's become more of an issue as the years go by. That's a LOT of work, and not for the faint of heart.

Won’t know anything about what’s under the hood until Saturday
