Sansui 9090 recap and restoration

Hi everyone,

I’m new around here, and recently bought a Sansui 9090 (not DB) in unrestored condition. Who are considered the best folks to do the recap/restore? Appreciate the suggestions.

Where are you? It would be ideal to avoid shipping, and you could support your local tech(s) if there are any. Once you let us know where you are, the references should pour in.
 
Is he willing to show you that it's fully operational? Better for you to verify that before purchasing it, unless he's selling it for a song.
The good thing about the 9090 restoration is that it doesn't have the dreaded Dolby board of the 9090db version to deal with. The other great thing is the circuit boards are all easily accessible for restoration. This makes it easier to work on for the tech.

Unfortunately, I don't have any experience with LA Vintage HiFi Repair Service. They've been around for about half a century though, so they may know a thing or two about repairing vintage equipment.
