Sansui AU 20000 and TU 9900 just walked into my life

I owned a TU 9900 in the 70's and it is a real fine tuner, and one of the best looking of all time IMHO. Where all the AU20000 amps red in color? I thought that the red cased ones were limited production only.
Regards,
Jim

Wow, nice units to have walk into your life. Great pickup.

The AU-20000's case is more a burgundy than red. Mine has the same case, here's a picture:

When I saw the title of the thread, I thought it’s connected with a woman that just walked into your life with the gear. In fact, it turns out right but not in the way I originally thought.

What about Akai TT and records? Are they as great as Sansui stuff?

Well the table is a AP-307 not much to get excited about in my books but it did come with a Shure V15 IV mint so :scratch2: The cassette deck is an Akai GXC-760D if I am reading correctly.3 head, 3 motor, glass & X'tal ferrite head a very heavy deck. All fine but the deck needs a drive belt

The lp's were nothing notable will probably sell at shop for $1-$3 bucks

!!! I just soiled myself... you just got a MAJOR score on my dream amp. I'm anxious to hear your impressions of it once hooked up. What speakers will they be driving?

BTW, that Akai deck is a really nice one. Akai's 3 head decks were superstars - on par with some of the best Nakamichi decks. The glass heads will last a lifetime...and I like the little round buttons on that model.

Fantastic score there.... I once had a chance to buy an AU-20000 that was a store demo with clear top on it.. Kick myself everytime for passing it up....

A clear top would be sharp to say the least considering the gutz this amp has:D
