Found one for sale and would like to make offer to build out my daughter's dorm room system. Gold face plate instead of usual black. What would be a good opening offer?

Current black face units for sale on ebay range from $500 to $800+ The $500 one has been relisted a few times, may have issues or bad feedback, I didn't read the description.
One sold listing was for $500.

As always, condition is important, both electrical (operating) and cosmetic.
I'd think a gold face would be worth more but not sure.

I remember what I think was a Panasonic all-in-one unit with a discolored face plate that was listed as extremely rare...
TG4, might be wise to make sure there actually was a gold face plate model of the Sansui you are asking about.
If real might be an overseas or limited version.
