Sansui AU-D11 =restoring=

Few days ago i bought Sansui AU-D11 in "not working" state.
After i get it and open i don't believe my eyes - all 4 power transistors is Sanken 2SC3264! And more ... 2 of them is damaged (0 ohms resistant)
So my question - what transistors the best choice for this AMP as power transistor? And what i must check for understand what else damaged?

P.S. Please, forgive me for my english :)

Well no wonder 2 of them are toast.

The 2SA1494/2SC3858 complementary pair are perfect replacements for the original 2SA1170/2SC2774.
 
You check output transistors, or transistors in general, with the 'diode test' setting, not ohms. What is your history in electronics or kit building?

The question is what failed and took out the two outputs? This is an amp best repaired by an expert IMHO.

The OHM function can also be sue to check out transistor..

what did people use in the Analog meter in the old day to check transistor or diode...

The fact that someone obviously without a clue, or just enough of one to be dangerous, has been tinkering makes this even more difficult than normal. You appear to be inexperienced yourself considering. This might not be the best situation for a greenhorn. If you really are determined in having a go at this you will have to check everything and assume nothing.

All the driver transistors (remove them & test) - and build yourself a 'Dim Bulb Tester' :yes:

You need to fully understand that it is not as simple as putting in a new set of output transistors, you also need to have good electronics knowledge and some basic equipment.

I wouldnt recommend buying semiconductors on ebay, I personally wouldnt buy any NTE components either..
