Same here. But like Wineslob pointed out for that amount of cash there are plenty of other options that could be better. If you're a Sansui collector that is truely one of the finest pieces they ever made.

I saw the one recently sold on classicaudio.com and that thing is a monster. But I did not get to hear it hooked up so I can't comment on how it sounds. For that amount you could probably pick up a nice used McIntosh MC252. :yes:

8 months ago, Grumpy sold a BA-5000 in better condition than that, rebuilt by me, for about 1/2 that amount.

Why $2000+ gets ya'all hot -n- bothered has me stumped.

A real Sansui fan is not concerned about Mac, Levinson, Accuphase or whatever. A BA5000 is special.
