Sansui D79R Cassette Deck

Is the Sansui D79R considered a good tape deck? being that its a sansui?

The record function does not work. but it does indeed play. It came packaged with a matching T1001 Digital tuner.

I think it is a "below average" tape deck. Typical Sansui medium-low range.

Check internal record switches first, probably dirty

Yours is a cleaner than mine I geuss I'll get out the bottle of endust spray...

I once bought a soundesign receiver with matching speakers and I had to clean off a thick sticky yellow substance off of it it took lots of elbow grease and there's still trace amounts on it.

I think it's cigarette smoke goo! :yuck:uke2:uke:
