I picked one up at a local auction last fall. I would have had it pretty cheap till someone, I sure an ebay type and I ended up getting it for 75.00. I got it to my bench and decided to just give it a once over. It was in very good shape even the dust cover had no cracks or deep scratches but very dirty. The stylus was gone so I opted for an Ortofon 10 cartridge and stylus as I've heard a lot of good about these and they won't break the bank. The speed was adjustment was right in the middle for both sizes. I set the tracking to 1/2 gram and aligned the stylus with a gauge and this table really performs well and I've been thinking of replacing my Garrard Zero 100 with this. I also made a plinth out of some scrap 2" construction grade Microlam I had and with 4 coats of satin poly it looks great and has some heft to it. I have seen these go for on average in good shape for around 100-150 bucks. Just plan on changing the cartridge and stylus it will be worth it. I also checked the wow and flutter on this with a friends test record and it was great.

Anybody else had any experience with this model?
I just picked one up for my vacation house about a month ago and am finally getting around to playing with it. The cover was horrible (I believe the sellers' ad for it read, "I don't know what the previous owner had against the cover..." which could be read two ways, one of them funnier than the other) and I'm thinking about trying to refurbish it.
The inner workings seem to be doing very nicely, though. Someone had put an Audio Technics 530EN cartridge on it, and it seems okay. As sold, it didn't sound great because the cart was almost resting on the freaking vinyl and I didn't notice until it almost scraped one of my records.
Once I adjusted the tone arm and lightened up the tracking force to recommended values the sound was excellent.
I have had some skipping on mint vinyl, which was disturbing, but as I hadn't yet properly adjusted the antiskate (doh!), I'm hoping that will not be repeated.
It's pretty barebones (no power button, no automatic cue like it's cousin the FR-D40, which I have in my main rig), but it's capable. Would recommend.
