New Haven Craig's list -- Sansui G22000. Pretty impressive -- some preamp problem but for what you get its a deal -- $100!

I'll be passing through CT tomorrow; could be a great score (sp?). Emailled him but I'm betting it's loooong gone.

That's the one, I got this reply from the seller. He must have been inundated!

There has been a typographical error on my Craigslist posting for the G-22000
The asking price should read $1,000 instead of $100.
I apologize for this error.
If you are still interested in making an offer on this excellent vintage receiver, please feel free to respond back to me.
Regards,
Al

No, $1k is a bit high for a broken unit.
But you've got to follow up on this stuff because you just never know. It's all like fishing, sometimes the biggest fish just jumps into your boat. Not often but if you keep trying it does happen.

If the fish that big as G-22000 all of a sudden jumps into my boat it might sink!
I'm just curious what might be wrong with the preamp?

Speaking of big fish just jumping into one's boat, did anyone think to ask the seller what turntable or speakers he might have used or got with that amp? Or maybe an Otari reel-to-reel or Nak Dragon or...

Wow -- that's some typo. This morning, when I posted the reference, it was definitely $100. I checked a couple of times, because I kept forgetting the model number and where it was -- distracted by actual concerns (and please -- no comments about how trivial my job is compared to audio equipment).
Sorry to have gotten people all riled up, but I wanted to let AKers have a chance to consider it before it was gone, so I didn't wait to make sure that his description was accurate, or that he wasn't going to change his mind.

May be initially it was $100 (though I doubt it), but due to (I imagine) number of responses seller finally bothered to check the going rate?
Or may be not... For a while it made my pulse go wild, but I told myself it's too good to be true..
