Sansui rack setups - would love to see them!

I have several GX-5 rack systems in various rooms, this first pic was taken in a bedroom that I turned into a music room for the stereo equipment and my guitars. So, if I am not hanging out in the basement where I have alot of audio equipment as well, I can come up to this room. Every now and then, I tend to rearrange some things. It takes a bit of effort to find a way to coordinate things in a cohesive way, lots of cables, lots of things to plug into outlets and power strips and so forth. The GX-5 is great, but you have to be very careful when moving it along its wheels, it can tip over and get damaged. I also have a Studio Trends rack on the right side, it has a large surface on top that is good for the Tascam M-1516 mixing board. The amp on top of the GX-5 is my AU-D11 II.

You have some very cool gear. And a lot of it! Nice collection.

Which Sansui sign is this? Post a full pic?

Very nice, though it looks like you may be missing the handle on the lower part of the door?
Didn't know it had a handle! There is a magnet on the top, push it and it releases the door, close the door and it engages and keeps it closed. Maybe that was added?

If you look back in this thread starting at post 20, there are several pictures of the GX-7 including Sansui ads that show the inverted V shaped handle on the door. Are there two holes in the glass door near the bottom on yours? That's where the handle attaches. If there are no holes, someone may have replaced the door at some point and put that spring loaded magnet in for opening the door.

There are no holes, so it was either replaced or came that way? Actually prefer the way mine is, as it looks cleaner to me.

Anything's possible, but the Sansui ads clearly show the door with a handle. I'll admit, it's odd placement for the handle at the bottom of the door. At first I thought the door on mine was installed upside down, but then I found those advertisement pictures for the rack, which show the handle on the bottom of the door.

The GX-7 is a nice, beefy rack. Enjoy!
