Got him talked down to $75 for these and maybe a bit lower. What do you guys think? Is it worth it?

[grillebilly]

I sold a pair last week for $40 on CL.
Had a few very quick responses and sold them in an hour, but was surprised that I had any responses at all. I guess people like them but IMHO there are much better speakers out there for not much more money.
and the vinyl on them is gone so they look like dung.

It was the 16" woofers that grabbed me. I'm a sucker for big woofers...

[grillebilly]

surprisingly they don't have much bottom end grunt. I can't tell you exactly why but most of those cram-as-many-drivers-in-the-box-as you-can speakers of that era don't provide much bass.
They are impressive to look at with the covers off though.

Kabuki speakers?

[BeerLegs]

Kabuki speakers.

Agree with all, poor sounding speakers. I sold my pair prior to the financial crash for $150 + shipping on ebay. Different times...

I had a pair and was glad to sell them for $250 and ship them off. Had to be some of the worst speakers I've owned and heard...IMHO.

I would buy them for $75. They are popular on ebay.

True. I'd buy 'em and sell 'em all day long for that opening price.

those are in unusually good shape.
Why someone would pay anything for them is somewhat of a mystery to me. That's why I felt fortunate getting $40. Maybe I was the sucker, not the buyer...:scratch2:

[avguytx]

No....you did good. I doubt you'd lose any money on them if you decided to sell them.

what do you care, what these guys think?it is your money.but, you knew that, didn't you?
