I've owned a similar pair of Savards since they were new in 1987. They are an efficient speaker and are well made. Somewhat conventional in design, but worth a listen. Go and hear them and judge for yourself.
They were made by the Savard speaker company in Baton Rouge. Savard had two or three stores in Baton Rouge during the 1980's. I'm not sure when they went out of business. There are some threads here on AK with more information - do a search.
