DON'T. It's just one more of Dave's many coast to coast "offerings".
He's been adding new locations lately, perhaps because many are now aware of his scam (due to scam warning posted in many of the locations he lists in as well as warnings on the interwebs) in his previous locations though he still posts in them.
He doesn't have the items, he'll never allow you to audition no matter what his ad says.
He won't ship, can't ship what he doesn't actually have.
He WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY via PP F & F which will give you no protection and ZERO CHANCE OF A REFUND because you and he both tried to scam PP by not using goods and services.
But hey, if you still want to "buy" it, go for it. Just don't say you weren't warned.

Go ahead and try to buy them.
If you insist on auditioning he'll stop contact with you.
You'll get nothing if you "trust him to ship them after you've paid via F & F. Or maybe venmo?" And your money will be gone.

Now with reflection, I guess I misunderstood your post with the CL listing.
I thought you were considering it or posting in case someone else might be interested. Then the next poster says "better jump on that deal".
Perhaps just that fact that those posts were made in this thread should have been a clue. Maybe Santa will bring me a clue for Christmas. It's not too late. Yet.
Can't blame it on the nog, haven't had any. Guess I'll blame my feeble noggin.
If nothing else it might make others aware of the scam/scammer.

Dave will never meet with you, though he will pretend to do so. The guy is a very laid back and non-aggressive for a scammer, I don’t know his game or how/if the dude makes any money off of this.
Maybe it’s some sort of weird fun for him, maybe it’s just an ongoing troll, maybe at this point others are copying ‘Dave’ posts just for lols. It’s been going on for a decade now, maybe the guy is just mildly mentally ill and has nothing else better to do. It will remain one of life’s small mysteries.
Has anyone actually taken the bait and been scammed by this guy? I haven’t heard of anyone actually losing money, so curious if anyone knows.

Some people have actually posted that after talking with him and being unable to schedule an in person audition, that they trusted him enough to send their money assured he would be sending them their purchase.
Not long after that after attempts to contact him again resulting in no return contact they realized they had been scammed. He must talk a good game.
He's been doing this for years. He knows how to protect himself from having to refund any money buy using payment methods that provide no buyer protection. It's my understanding he uses burner phones and/or Goole phone. Whatever that is. He knows the amount he scams someone for is for the most part not going to get the authorities involved.
He's even been raising his prices lately, but still lower than what would attract authorities to pursue him.
Too bad that LEO in CO that busted Noah Schumacher a few years ago couldn't get involved. He at least pursued and had a well known audio scammer charged with a crime.

*There's another internet clown who does that. He makes peoples lives miserable if they dare to contact him and not meet his approval for any reason.
MRG, monster receiver guy. Chuck from Indianapolis. He posts on CL (and marketplace?) in nearby states as well as the Indianapolis area.

You can tell some are stolen from magazines or manufacturers literature strictly based on lighting, focus, and background.
Some are stolen from people who listed an item for sale.
Dave is smart though, notice all pictures in a listing are from the same source. Myself, I'm always suspect of an item for sale where the surroundings are different depending on the image chosen to view.

Lol, it's just a strange world sometimes. I had contact with this guy ("Dave") a couple of times years back; I knew it was a scam and played along. I set up a time to meet but of course he just ghosted me after a few emails. He never attempted to try to get me to send money. Disappointing to hear he's actually nailed people with a weak scam like that; I guess a bit of greed at the bargain price gets the better of people and all the alarm bells they should be hearing in their heads just turn off.
