Schematic Tuner PS Capacitor Rating Different Than What Was Found

Just wondering why on a service schematic a capacitor in the power supply section of a tuner is rated 1000uF/16 Volt and I found a 2200uF/16 Volt Cap in the unit.

Somebody said thats what was probably handy on the day of manufacture.

Safe to go with what's on the schematic?

Happens often, running changes. If it looks original replace it with the 2200. It will be better than the 1000 in the power supply.

Schematics/service manuals are printed in bulk prior to the production run. It is quite common for manufacturers to "tweak" or make changes during the production run. Usually, they will provide "service updates/revisions" to their techs, but they are often difficult, if not impossible to track down. Go with what is on the board, not what is in the service manual, as long as it looks original.

Thanks for that info and that's what I figured. We'll definitely do that. ;-)
