I just picked up this carver cd player model TL-3300 off of craigslist for 30 bucks ,it is mint with box and remote. Anyone famaliar with this model? Thanks for the input guys.

I wouldn't call it a score, but I don't think you got burned either. It's an OK player, but nothing really special. Given its condition and that you got the box and remote, you could likely flip it and get your money back and then some.

Yea it has the time lens.

Not a bad price but I would think about flipping. Look behind the pretty face and you will see an ordinary CPD inside.

I wish my 2000 still worked, skips badly. I was amazed at how bad my pioneer cd player sounded compared to the Carver. The time lens actually adds hiss to the cd so it has a more analog sound. I used it with the carver holography and when I changed CD players it was like the sound stage just collapsed. Give it a listen and I bet you will like it.
