Went back to the auction Tuesday night and picked up a second tube guitar amp.
This one is made by Symphonic and is a SE 6V6 design. Made in Montreal apparently:

Haven't fired it up yet but it looks to be OK.
Should have an interesting sound.

Ok dagnabit. where are you in CAN? I'm coming up there and bidding against you. Triple major score month. :thmbsp:
(BTW, the I have/had the ARC that is shown on that page. I gave away the amp because it was a hot chassis and I was scared of it. Now I know a bit better, gotta love isolation transformers. Still have the cab and speaker.)

$2? Dang, I live in the wrong place, apparently.
What surprised me was that I was the only one who bid on either of the guitar amps. I'm sure if they would have been Fenders there would have been lots of bidders. People were bidding on all sorts of other junky stuff though, :yes:.
Seems there is a blossoming appreciation for these less well known guitar amps and that a few of them compare favorably with some of the boutique guitar amps that are being made these days.
Now that I know I can find some decent stuff down at Neufeld Auction I'll probably become a regular, to the wifeys chagrin.
