Scott 299b OPT mystery

Certainly appear to be an armchair engineered "modification". There were larger output transformers in the 222C/D amplifiers which used the same output tube. However, for a 233, that is a 7591 output amplifier. Many, many Scott tube amplifiers have passed over my bench; I have never seen that modification. I suspect it is "home grown". Just my opinion, and you know about them!
