Seaburg Dynamic Sound speakers?

Agreed. These would be the satellite speakers for a Seaburg juke box. Probably nothing special at all - certainly not two bills worth.

Ha, the horns and drivers are likely worth around $500 if untouched.... which they usually are. I'd say 2 1/2 times your money....isn't all that bad. Maybe he even comes down on price?:rflmao:

Those have Altec 806 drivers mounted to 811 horns and each has a pair of 15" Utah woofers. Very low price if everything is working...

*edit* Sorry, forgot... Seeburg DDS1.

^^^^^^^ This. A no brainer at that price. Bring a friend. Theyre big.... and HEAVY .

I would, but my wife would bury me in one of them if I hauled them home. I still have a pair of 100+ pound ea. Warfedale 90's I need to get new Lpads and caps replaced in. :D

Here's what they look like on the inside. That's 2 x 15" woofers, an Altec 811 horn and a 806a driver.

Kinda looks like a poor man's version of a Legato, eh @Galaxie65 ?
Very poor.

Legato is levels above the DDS1, even with one of it's woofers disconnected, Legato is a far superior speaker.

The DDS1 was not cheaply made, and it's build quality is substantial making the lack of performance almost as surprising as disappointing.

Seeburg made a very poor choice with the woofers, although they extend quite low, they;re not very sensitive, low power handling, and they power compress very badly, a very poor match for a high sensitivity compression driver and horn.

The Seeburgs were designed to be powered by their jukebox amplifiers, remember these are the Seeburg Disco speakers. Power handling didn't need to be huge. Remember, these were driven by 25-30 watt amplifiers, efficiency also had to be high. HF Horn and driver are Altec, woofers on these were built by Utah.

200 hundred bones is a no brainer for me. Potential is there, I think GordonW worked over a pair way back when.

Wow...... got a bee under your bonnet or what ?

I was just commenting about the similarity to the Legato. ( Altec horn, driver, and a pair of 15" woofers)

No reason to launch into a rant.

Dont get bowtie started on Aztec speakers either! These are worth 200.00 all day! I sold my set to an asian flipper for 500.00 and he was gitty !!!!
