I have (4) 2235 JBL woofers just begging to be used for a project. Those are interesting speakers because of the components
Vinyl covering
Twin 15" and that horn
I think they came with legs that lent a MCM vibe to them
I was tempted but their size...wow
I planned on a new, expensive Walnut veneer for them
Some say the Utah woofers aren't great
Others say vast improvement with upgraded crossovers. Particularly JBL crossovers
The horns are Altec

They were marketed for commercial use where the Formica would serve better being considerably more durable than wood veneer.I touched a pair a month ago. Covered in formica with Utah woofers, pretty hideous to have on someone's living room.
Biggles
Yes I have a pair they are incredibly great sounding, really big sound with crystal clarity. I would recomend to any audiophile. They were made by Altec lansing for the Seeburg Corp to put in discotheque or honkey tonks. They have 2 15inch woofers and a altec 811b horn, you would not be disappointed worth at least $1000.
Those were great. The one's I've seen had Altec woofers as well... very serious loudspeakers. We used to add components to cross out the Altec at 6500 hz into a JBL 076 tweeter and they sounded great... that is, even better, very 'musical' loud or soft... and loud was very loud, concert level. Lights up a dance floor, that's for sure.Yes I have a pair they are incredibly great sounding, really big sound with crystal clarity. I would recomend to any audiophile. They were made by Seeburg in the same factory their jukeboxes were made in.They were made by Altec lansing for the Seeburg Corp to put in discotheque or honkey tonks.
Altec horns and drivers with cheap crossovers and Eminence Woofer. Bass is poor and with the crossovers they used the HF performance is poor above 9 KHZ. Seen a lot of clubs and restaurants with those speakers. My Altec Carmels with two 414 woofers and modified to use N-1201 similar crossover would run circles around the seeburgs. The Altec 19 was the ultimate performer though.
