Seeking the Best Cartridge Under $300

Old thread Revival. I would look into sumiko carts. I have the olympia and it's upgradable by just changing the stylus. It's a great blend of detail and warmth. I would say it's what you get if grado and nagoaka had a baby. Very nice! I would get the moonstone if it fits the budget..I believe it's 300...I think its worth it. Just my 2 cents. Happy spinning
 
Sumiko? I would say a marriage of a Shure M95 and an ADC QLM36, both with a bonded stylus. Sumikos have some of the warmth of the Shure, some of the smoothness of the MI, but doesn’t reach either one

Interesting time to revive, I will update my view as it is reopened. The new Grado Opus 3 is stunning. I have only heard the low output and I have been retipping them, but even out of the box stock standard they are a huge bargain. Nothing like any Grado before ie amazing highs, but all the good Grado stuff lower down.
Best 300 dollar bargain by a long way.
