Semi or Auto Turntable.

I dont see the Dual 1229 mentioned here, but I really like the sound of it, maybe my ears arent as refined, but I had the technics 1200. 1300, 1650, and the dual just seems to have better separation and warmth. but I am also partial to an older turntable.

I just googled the Dual 1229s for pics and they sure look nice and with wood case too. I will keep an eye out on my local CL just in case one of these pops up. Thanks.

Everyone should have a 1229. There is something about that TT. Yes warm and nice separation...Now I did replace the tonearm wires with 32 AWG Silver wire w/Gold Plated Cartridge Clips. I connect the clips directly to the cartridge. For me the cartridge is the weak link. I have a 1019 and did the same..and that cartridge system plain stinks....OK..back on track.

Dual (2)1229, 1019, Pioneer PL-518x, PL-518, PL-630, PL-610, Marantz 6200, Thorens TD-145, TD-165. I will be getting a TD-125 MKII next week.
