Sennheiser HD599 TRRS 2.5mm locking connector

Hi guys!
Do you have any idea where I can get 2.5 mm TRRS locking connector for Sennheiser HD599 ?
I want to build my own cable, compatible with my MD Player ( Balanced )
But buying and then cutting expensive cable I'm not inclined.

Yes TRS are plentiful, but original connector is TRRS and allows balanced connection. And yes HD 599 allows this.

I think there are plenty, aftermarket balanced cables for decent prices.
Otherwise you might need to do some hacking.

I will do some hacking, because wiring of the balanced cables are vendor specific there are at lest 3 different ways. Ive purchased and returned few cables already because they did not specify how it wired. After all buying a cable for 50$ and then splicing it sounds like waste of money to me
I'm talking about Kenwood DMC S9NET

My opinion is that you could focus your efforts, towards a different endeavour.

Instead of making a balanced cable, you could:

a. re-cable the HD599 (internally) with 0.9mm outside diameter, silver-plated, stranded copper cable
b. make your own DIY single-ended cable, with AWG 16, silver-plated, stranded copper cable and quality connectors

And if you want to go even further, build a nice DIY amplifier for them.
For example, a WHAMMY Class A Headphone Amplifier.
Or an RJM Audio Sapphire.

Both, will greatly surpass the performance of the internal headphone amplifier of your Kenwood DMC S9NET.
Which, by the way, doesn't seem to support a balanced output.

Cool! Thank you, certainly can try that.
Especially rewiring... I wish I could capture BEFORE and AFTER with some sort of electronic ear
But before that I try and confirm that this ( see below ) is working
Here is snip from the DMCS9 schematic which looks like 100% balanced output to me
