You can use any oil you would like some use Mobil 1 5W-30 synthetic. I used Joel's oil. The Thorens belt is the right size but ONLY the thorens belt. Any other belt will not provide the correct speed of a non-speed adjustable table. Joel's belt is NOT thorens belt.
