Found these for sale South of me. Never heard of this company. Sounds like it was a Speaker shop that used to exist in Tucson Arizona. Look like they might be interesting??

The quality of the drivers utilized looks top notch for a hi-fi speaker of that era (1970's). The tweeters are definitely from Philips, the woofer might be from Eminence and the mids possibly Peerless but all look to be of high quality. These would not have been an inexpensive speaker when new.

For a reasonable price they should be well worth it. The pairs of mid-range dome and tweeter placements near each other might cause some interference comb filter effects which is why major manufacturers tended to avoid this with the exception of companies like Norman Labs and M&K here in Los Angeles. The wider the dispersion of a dome driver the more waveform interference it is likely to create in close proximity to another driver of the same type.

Well I cannot identify them, but can concur that Shapiro would have been in Tucson. My speakers in the early 80's were in Tucson and were in need of grilles - while I was away at Christmas my roommate had some made for me, that look just like those in style. So that is where he had the work done ! Of course I don't have that badge as my speakers were (are) Qysonic Array prototypes but the grille and other work done are completely consistent with a speaker shop in Tucson. Still have and love them.

Hey man, I currently own a pair of these speakers and for the money i paid ($80) i love them. The owner sent me a newspaper article of the Tucson maker. Would you like a copy of it.
