I have a Sherwood S7450 with 17 mv Dc at both speaker terminals. Does anyone have the procedure for adjusting the Bias and DC offset on this receiver? Thanks, Macon.

I have the same amp and my readings, when I purchased the amp about 3 yrs ago, were around the same. The reading isn't terribly bad but the there is a pop when unit is turned off. I just turn the volume down before turning unit off to protect speakers. Some amps have a delay to avoid this noise Carver for one. I haven't opened the unit up in a while but I do remember there aren't any adjustment pots there I think the DC offset is regulated with fixed resistors. These units according to another website were voiced to have a tube like sound that might account for the higher DC off set? All in all it is a sweet sounding amp not unlike my HK 330c but with maybe a little less punch in the bass but with clearer highs and a nice FM section. A very pretty amp too mine has the walnut case. These units I also read somwhere when purchased new were each bench tested at the factory and the specs for that particular were included with it. I use mine in my bedroom set up. Hope this helps If you do find a way to do it let me know

I don't know for the 7450, but the 7650 has both Offset and Bias adjustments. You can find the owner's manual, including the schematic, for the S-7650CP on hifiengine. Hope it may help you.
