Been having a Pink Floyd morning, Animals & The Wall so far. I finally read the Rolling Stones article that @Crazy Gnome posted so I had to listen to the original master. I'd really like to hear what Steven Wilson's mastering did for the recording but $250 is a little steep for me. I attached the txt file which elaborates more on the sourcing of Mike's master cassettes.

I have the regular LP version of that (I bought it a few months ago)... I love Pink Floyd but that one is pretty unlistenable... it is just a lot of noodling around with no point to it. So 'bad" that my wife made me turn it off 1/2 way through the second side and she too loves Pink Floyd.

Gilmour's newest album "The Luck and Strange Concerts" is one of the best live albums I've ever heard- a lot of it was recorded at the Circus Maximums in Rome. Contains all the Luck & strange album tunes and a lot of old PF... when you listen to it it's hard to believe it is being played by an 80 yr old guy... simply incredible.

1st time I listened to this release.
I've been comparing this recording to my mtx boot of the show. This release is much clearer but doesn't represent the crowd as well. The straight boot sbd quality is very close to this release.
