This is my "comparison" track, except that I use the original, un-remastered version. On too many systems it just sounds like noise. On the few streaming platforms I've heard it on in the past, it sounded terrible. But if the system really images, you'll hear three distinct clavinet tracks to the left, right, and center.

This is my other "go to." Can you clearly hear the opening without overloading/compressing the finale? Can you track all of the "sequences" as they come in without losing the prior ones?

Those ELP LPs had good production, engineering, and mastering. Eddy Offord engineered at Advision studios. I am not sure whether George Peckham mastered the early ELP LPs.

Yes also recorded at Advision. Offord, as the primary engineer. Peckham mastered. :thumbsup:

I can't show everything playing, because my Philips integrate amp 22AH308, my Philips 22AH708 receiver and the N2552 and N5741 cassette decks are currently not hooked up and waiting for my listening post at my future residence.

Yes, I can clearly hear the opening. This is one of my favorite pieces to listen to. I love the opening and have always appreciated the Crescendo and how it works on this piece. To that, the ending with the transitions from right, center, left and back again. Great for imagine. With my set up although my system images well, it's not perfect to be sure, but when I get the opportunity to move my ADS 1530's to the living room Abaddon's Bolero is also one of my go too pieces to listen to. Actually the whole Trilogy album to be honest.

Regarding Tank, I don't have that Album, do you recommend the Remastered? When I get it, I'll check it out on my system and remark in here if your interested.

@toddalin I agree with @Spiceman50 these audio recordings of your system playing back these Vanessa Fernandez songs do not sound bright at all. The sound is very good.

The Remaster sounds better than the original, so the original is more of a "torture test"..., and is what I have on CD. For example, there is less of a tonal, and perhaps volume, change when going from the clavinets to the drum solo on the remastered version. The drums sound more "dead" on the original.
 
10s in "Flat" mode and Heils in "Bright" and "Max Brilliance" modes. This would be the "brightest" setting. The speakers have 27 different "profiles" to cover a wide range of material..., good and bad.

Regular CD. As always, just the two speakers in "Pure Direct" with no eq or room correction.

Cheese and Crakers Dude!! I don't think I have ever heard that song as chrisp and clean as what I just heard! Lots of detail in there. Im at work listening through buds, but I can clearly appreciate what Im hearing.

@toddalin I listened to the Vanessa Fernandez tracks, that you posted, during my listening session last night. Thank You for sharing. One of the nice things about this hobby is getting exposure to new music and learning about artist that you are not familiar with with.

Thanks! Really makes me appreciate what I've accomplished using Craigs List/eBay parts. I have Vanessa there in the room with me nice and clear. :thumbsup:
