I've been thinking about getting a set of in-ear binaural microphones like ones by Soundprofessionals, since they seem like an intriguing option and I'd be very curious to hear how they sound with various audio systems. The price isn't too bad either, compared to what I've seen.

Earsight also seems to make some very promising binaural mics too.

I remember when I was shopping for my first (decent) Bluetooth speaker back in 2016, I found a channel that formerly went by the name of Clavinetjunkie, and he made very nice in-depth Bluetooth speaker reviews and soundcheck comparisons. But unlike most speaker review channels at the time, he used binaural microphones to record his audio and to help viewers (such as myself) hear any flaws that the speaker might have, which proved very helpful in narrowing down my options.

He's the reason I even got into audio in the first place, though sadly his channel no longer exists as it was terminated a couple years ago.

With my newly designed reflectors on the Heils. Took out the rising response, peaks, and dips and made everything very smooth.

I just placed my order for a set of Soundprofessionals in-ear binaural microphones with premium round windscreens and premium (non-mogami) 3.5mm cable. I picked the high sensitivity version. Total was $118 with free shipping. Made in USA ! :)

Should be here in a few weeks, I'll let you guys know what I think of them.

my new binaural microphones came in today but unfortunately my Sony phone that had most of my music on it also crapped out today :( keeps bootlooping with green lines across the display.

It is a good song with meaning. I’m trying to be more active on here but sometimes challenging given my health issues however, AK still has some of us old heads around and I’m glad to see you all and welcome the new comers.
 
One new phone (old one died) and several days later I finally got the opportunity to test these binaural in-ears! I have the mics on round foam windscreens so they fit my ears better and reduce some of the wind (AC) noise.

I apologize for my shoddy camera work ;) still figuring out the autofocus on this camera, especially with the touch-to-focus feature

Song is "Outra Vez" by European Jazz Trio

I would recommend using a decent set of headphones, cheapie Walmart ones won't cut it
