There was another thread where a poster detailed how he took a N91D type generic stylus and removed the plastic and shaved down the metal shaft length to fit into the M3D/M7D body with good results (better freq response too). May be worth a try. Not sure a N3D original thick cantilever stylus will really provide great sonic results even if NOS.

I tend to agree even though I'm curious. But I suppose I could find a better way to spend $70. I like the aftermarket with the thinner cantilever very much anyway.

Turntableneedles confirmed that they do have original N3D stylus' in stock, but their VTF info was wrong and they're going to correct it. Wonder if it's worth trying an original stylus?

would have been great to have known that, haha.

This would allow use in a "modern" arm as the tracking spex follow the stylus and not the carcass used it's in.
That means it may not work well in a 1950s/ 1960's arm.
