Shure M91ED or M95ED or Sure M75ED Type 2 Cartridge, Whats better?

I bought it from a guy here in Sweden who sells them on an auction site over here

It looks like a Tonar. Good stuff. Tonar is extremely popular everywhere except in the States. If they had chosen a retailer here in the States, they would be very popular here too.

For any scandinavians around on this here fine forum: I got my elliptical stylus for the M75 cartridge from seller "gambo" on Tradera for 185 sek (that´ll be around 20 usd). Shipped ok in a couple of days.

Here´s a shot of the (from seller alledged) Jico elliptical i ordered for my Shure m75. I see no soldered tension wire. So maybe no Jico? But I read that not all Jicos have the wire...

Anyway: It sounds good an noticeably better than the Tonar/DMS combo I ran before (the Tonar stylus for the DMS cartridge was more expensive than the "Jico" replacement for the Shure

Yeah, that is not a Jico the Jico reproduces the Shure to perfect detail with the exclusion of the nude diamond. But it has the magnet block in the front and the tension wire soldered in the back.

The picture below should both.

JICO makes styli for Tonar and other companies. They can be different than JICO in JICO packaging.

Then those manufactured by Jico for other companies are subpar and not manufactured like the real Shure, the ones sold by Jico directly have all the Shure pieces in place.

What is a "dynamic control lever"?

From Shure's brochure, Visit To The Small World of a Stylus, the dynamic control level* (sic) "optimizes stylus bar compliance", and was only found on the V15 cartridges.

* Whether they'd made a typo and meant to call it a lever rather than a level in that brochure, I don't know, but it wouldn't be beyond the bounds of possibility, as computer-controlled word processors weren't yet seen, and I'm (just) old enough to remember typists, who didn't always get technical jargon correct when they transcribed it!

It is but helps us understand why the cheap knock-off styli is not the same as the real thing. Get Shure or Jico or go home :p
I dont believe that is fair.
It seems that Jico produce a "budget" stylus for third party vendors thought there is no official documentation to support this,(if there is my apologies),so due to this secrecy a lot of assumptions are being made.
A cheap Rolls Royce is a BMW and that is still a very good car,so pricing comes into play.A NOS stylus is hard to find and there is no way to tell if its internals have deteriorated over time until you have paid an elevated sum for it.
Back to economics, not everybody is in a position to afford a Jico stylus and pay the exorbitant shipping fees from Japan for something that weighs a few grams.
Has anybody A/B tested a Jico stylus against a third party supplied Jico?
I use Thakker supplied Jico styli,it does not have the tie wire but I would not consider it a "cheap knock off",I would also expect Jico would issue a cease and desist order against them for a fraudulent claim, the European Union has laws in place to protect right holders,so a German company such as Thakker would not dream of flogging a "cheap knockoff".
Its all down to your ears at the end of the day.

I all fairness there is more stylus manufacturers, I know that even in Mexico there is a factory and there is that other company called Philanstein.

I do not think Jico manufactures the cheaper replacements, it's ok to disagree.

JICO used to supply EVG. That is a fact. JICO supplies Tonar and Thakker and others such as LPTunes which is a definite. A Swiss manufacturer supplies EVG and Pfanstiehl. There is a South American manufacturer named Normarh. Why wouldn't JICO supply huge retailers ? Do you think JICO waits for one or two orders to their website ? Sorry, but I am tired of this.
