Shure M97xE or Otofon X1

Will be used with a Technics SL-1300Mk2. Please limit discussion to these two cartridges. I'm not interested in any other makes or models.

I don't know anything about either cartridge but I have been considering the Shure M97 based on positive comments I have read here. Markertek has the Shure for $63 in their latest catalog, seems like a really, really good price.

the shure m97 xe seems made for the sl 1700 i have it mounted on.
