I am looking for a Shure SEK-2 Microscope for checking my TT stylus.
What is a fair price? I have found one and it has the light and everything works.

Anyone have one of these????? I found one for sale..need to know what it is worth.
I read the "Sticky" in the DIY section about building a scope to check stylus wear.

Karma16 has one. He wrote one of the stickies.

What is one worth...hard to say as there are not a lot of them around and the demand is high but very specialized. So it is really more how much would you be comfortable paying for one and will the person that has it let it go for that. If I say it is worth 25 bucks and the seller needs 130 but you are willing to go a c-note, what good is that? There isn't really a known market for these things. I know I would like one but I'm not going to try to buy the one you have your eye on.

Let us know what it is offered for when you are done working this deal.

UPS delivered it yesterday. :thmbsp: I paid $130.00 TMD for it. I posted pictures in the TT section last night. Now to learn how to use it and understand what I am looking at. The manual and book for it has a parts list and pictures of what the different stylus look like new and worn. I looked at other 100X microscpes that were a little less money used but no light fixture so I went for this old 1976 scope. It's made by Swift, never heard of them but I am not into these.
