Signal meter on H/K 330B not working?

I recently got a nice H/K 330B receiver at a thrift store por nada. Everything works except the little FM signal meter. Not a big deal but I like things to be correct. Any advice on how to fix it?

thanks,
John

Could be alignment ,failed component ,broken solder/wire connection.:scratch2:

I haven't done a thing to check it out yet. guess I'd better do that. Sometimes AK makes me lazy. That said, any suggestions on where to start would still be appreciated.

This is a known problem. I have read about it here on AK so...you know...search and you should find a repair/rebuild for that meter.

Hey Blue Shadow. I've been an AK member for a short time and am having trouble doing searches. When i go to "search this forum" and type in keywords it takes me to some pretty general stuff. Not what I'm looking for. This is a good time to admit my ignorance and ask for help. Can you help me with this?

I have a 330c ive parted out I might have a signal meter if it is compatible I think it would be fine........maybe some guys on here could coment.....im resending a guy from here with a hk730 a push button the last one got grabbed at the border something about sending metal in a envelope??????????:nono:

I would like to help, but the search on this site is the worst of any site I have ever visited. It will not accept the short names much of this equipment has and using a longer search term like brand and model it comes back with a hit anytime the brand is mentioned. Sorta useless about half the time.

I agree. It's difficult to get specific. Hits on anything with the search words name and that can be pages and pages.

One light on a 330c I had was not working and not the meter aswell. I think it was the stereo indicator light. When I changed the stereo indicator light the meter came to life! Although got stuck on 3, I don't know why, probably you have to be very specific with the voltage on the lamp/or it just needed alignment. I have sold it now and the buyer was happy anyway.

Best regards

Filip

I used the google search option on the search function and found the post I asked about the meter on a 330c. Turns out removing the meter and adjusting the screw on it fixed it.

You might want to check out the components circled in this schematic for your HK 330a receiver. :smoke:
