SL1210-MK2 - Cleaning Faceplate

Hi

I picked up some 1210's after many years since owning a pair.

Functionally the decks are in good shape however I've noticed a lot of spots over the faceplates and have tried cleaning with soapy water and mild alcohol.

My thinking is now this may be decolourisation or grease. Any ideas?
