SME 3009 Series II (Non-improved) Effective Mass

Haven't been able to get a straight answer...

SME literature (see attached) specifies the effective mass of many of their tonearms, but it is unclear to me if these figures include the head shell. I feel safe in assuming this is factored in to the models WITHOUT detachable head shells, but what about the ones WITH detachable head shells? Is it safe to assume the 12.5g effective mass for my 3009 Series II Non-Improved arm includes the stock head shell?

I ask because I'm looking to add a bit of mass via the head shell.

Since the Improved models, lower mass units, not really improved, are 6.5 grams fixed headshell and 9.5 grams for removable it seems reasonable the mass numbers are with headshell. The connector on the 3009/S2 Improved is most of the additional mass.

I’d use the 12.5 grams plus cartridge and added weight.
