Simply listed as "tall wood speakers" and accompanied by a terrible photo. Any clues?

Terrible photo is right...but I think they could be Snell Type "B"...if so, $300 sounds like a deal...

Well I finally got a chance to check out the tall wooden speakers. Not only are they tall, they are very heavy. And they are now in my possession. And they sound good too. I nearly did not buy them as I couldn't audition them and they are not in the best of condition. One of the passives is taped, cabs are marred, and the grills are very worn. But at $150 I could not resist. Now to figure out where I will put them and how much restoration is needed. Here are some photos:

Wow, lucky you!!! Frrom what I have read the "B's" are fairly rare. Seems the A's and the E's are more prolific. I like the D'Appolito configuration, I bet that will sound nice when you get them pulled together!

Hope the drivers can be refoamed/repaired without much trouble. If so, you really did scroe, regardless of what condition the cabs are in! :yes:

I have a pair of type K needs new foam surrounds, too heavy to ship for an ebay sale, too paranoid to use craigslist,won't be worth it if they need new foams, I just don't know what to do with those things. like 8inch 2 way, or for bi amping.
How much should I put on them for a garage sale.
