Some of you dunderheads might go to the Klipsch forum, might have seen this. Some of you other dunderheads might not get over there....so this would be for you or anyone else who's not seen this.
I myself was informed just yesterday that this was posted there. Rather than make you find it, I'll post the link here.

As some visuals to what you might hear in the interview (which is probably 45 minutes long, but I didn't time it)
Roy talks about Mike in Tennessee. This was the day his were delivered. He had the black industrial units like everyone else. This was in August of 2006 (to clarify when this happened)

You've likely seen this picture, this was PWK's original vision and the trebel horn on top is the one they had issues with AND was going to become very expensive. I believe it was called the K403

Roy mentioned having what ended up being called "Jubefests" where a group of crazy's were invited by Roy to spend a weekend at the engineering facility in Hope with him and we'd listen to various things, do some testing. Some pictures of that are below.
I was privilaged enough to be allowed to attend these. We listened to various speakers in various formats. We listened essentially to five songs of Bonnie Raitt over and over and over and over and over and overrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
I still have nightmares of her singing to me at night. I went here thinking it would be a JAM session.... bring on some orchestras, bring on some rock & roll....bring on sensitive girl with guitar..... nope, none of those. It made sense....you listen to the same thing so you know what to listen for and you are "listening to the SPEAKER, you are NOT "listening to the sound"" Even though you are obviously listening to the sound.

We had the Palladiums in there, we had a factory fresh Khorn in there.....nothing was spared.

We were also Roy's little grunts. Moving things in/out of their chamber for testing and listening. We had the Jubilee in the chamber with the smaller K510 horn on top, then (following picture) with the larger K402 horn on top. I am here to tell you in case you don't know.
"The bigger the horn, the BETTER." (<--note that their is a period there). When the 510 (smaller) horn was playing, if you stood BEHIND the speaker you could hear a certain amount of sound. This was the sound that splashed behind the speaker. When you did the same thing with the larger K402 horn, though in absolute terms you could hear something, it was nearly mute behind there when compared to the K510. So the 402 was controlling much more of the sound, pushing out out FORWARD and not letting it splash around the sides to come back to you. Implication? The smaller horn allows more sound to splash around to hit your side walls and add to destructive interference whereas the larger horn minimizes that.

selling that system, a year or so later I refurbished a pair of Peavey FH-1s and put the 510 on top.
