Hi Guys!

My latest musical obsession has become Bossa Nova-along with my latest linguistic obsession, Portuguese, as well as my geographical obsession, Brazil!

Yes, ladies and gentleman, I AM an Aspie.

I learn as much as possible about the country, language, and sometimes music (if applicable), and then gain a new obsession of the same type in a few months. But still enjoy the info and music!

So-enough about my Linguistic, Geographical, and Musical obsessions:

What's some great Bossa Nova? Preferably with vocals in Português!

I only have:

Getz/Gilberto
Blue Bossa by Ana Caram (I will check out the rest of her stuff)
Jazz Samba

Thanks guys!

Ben

This is a landmark recording. It should be in any list of great bossa nova. For all of you that claim that this is elevator music all I have to say is that you guys don't get this music.

I'm addicted to Enoch Light's Command records. Picked this up at Goodwill for $0.50, but the dance instruction book was gone:

@jdsalinger Too Funny! I saw this thread this morning while in a meeting and instantly thought of "Don Simmons". I finally got around to digging it up on YouTube and came here to post that exact one and looks like you just beat me to it.

And Btw, "Ain't no #$@%*^% Thelma here!"
