Song You Hate By A Band You Love?

I am a long time fan of Jethro Tull and have all of their albums and box sets and whatever so my knowledge of Jethro Tull makes this decision not based on a few albums but their entire catalog. This may shock some but it's "My God" from the album Aqualung. And I don't hate it. Hate IS a strong word. Just never liked that song.

Bowie`s : "Rebel, Rebel", though I didn't hate it, as I dislike that word, however, I disliked it in the extreme !!

Never, ever was a dancing kind of guy, but every local band that I mixed sound for, after it came out, under pressure from the crowd, played that IMHO worthless to me song !! :bs:

But the club`s pretty and fetching young ladies liked it, so I ignored the song and just watched them dance, with 24 yr. old lecherous thoughts !! :naughty:

I'm a Radiohead tragic.

However In Rainbows for me always starts on Track 2 -"Bodysnatchers". Track 1 "15 Step" always gets skipped.

Bonnnie Tyler's Total Eclipse of the Heart.

"Sitting on a powder keg and giving off sparks".

What is that drivel ? Hate it.

What hit song or signature song by a band or artist you love, do you absolutely hate?
There are three that I can think of off the top of my head:
Deacon Blue- Steely Dan. I love this band but hate that song.
Layla- Derek And The Dominoes. One of my favorite albums, but would have been better minus this song.
Free Bird- Lynyrd Skynyrd. Aaargh!
Couldn't disagree more on Deacon Blues.

“Black Hole Sun” by Soundgarden.
That frickin crap tune was played in the morning like on the ground hog day movie on my alarm clock for weeks on end one year when my alarm clock would go off in the morning!
There's another tune also by another band I can't remember right now....every morning....

I'm a huge fan of the early JT stuff (up to Songs from the Wood), not so much the later stuff, though I should try listening to more of it.
Anyway, for me, Bungle in the Jungle is like fingernails on a chalkboard! LOL

I do like "My God" though ... like they say, different strokes for different folks!

My mind is pretty open, and my tastes consistent, so I'd say that I much more often have songs I love by bands I hate.

Philadelphia Freedom - Elton John

So many great songs from Reg, but man, that one is stunningly putrid!

"Lady Madonna" -- song needs to be nuked.

I love Philly Freedom

Stereophonics - Help Me (She's Out Of Her Mind) - Why would you start a masterpiece album like "You Gotta Go There To Come Back" with that formulaic, repetitive handkerchief wad of phlegm?

I don't think I've even once made it through that track on an otherwise fantastic album.
