Sony STR-VX5 power supply trouble in paradise

Hi everyone. New here . My Vx5 stopped working also. had it since new. Don't know a lot of electronics, but eager to learn, took it to a local "sony guy" He said power supply also. I was not even getting the double click from the relays, however I was getting the 165 volt power at the post on the board I believe you all were talking about. I am going to print this to show him. Lets see what happens. I will keep tabs on this thread. Hoping this helps . If he gives me any info I will relay it to every one.
 
When I recapped my Onkyo M-508 I set my Weller soldering station to 350C (662F). I had to go up to 400C (752F) to solder the main filter cap leads to the big copper plates. I use a Hakko FR-301 desoldering gun set to 400C to remove everything--so much faster than braid or a hand held sucker pen.
