Well I didn't have much choice on the amps. I have modified my speakers so they need to be actively biamped. And I very stupidly did it in such a way that it will be kind of hard to put them back to the stock configuration. So I need 4 channels of amplification to drive them.

As far as the CDP - I hardly ever use it but I just couldn't bear to let it go. It was my first really high end piece.
 
I haven't been keeping up with prices too much lately but that seems about right for a fully working unit.

That's bang on price wise, actually a little lower than I've seen recently. Even for parts, the TA-N77ES commands a princely sum.

So after reading all of this I realize this is beyond me. My apartment is too small, and I can't afford to buy any new stereo equipment. I may regret it down the line, but I think it makes sense for me to just sell this.
 
That’s a perfectly reasonable decision. I would suggest you test it before you sell it - you will get a lot more money if you can say it works.

The best offer I've received so far is $750, and I think I 'm going to go with that. Not bad for something I've found on the street. I will focus on getting my Technics SA-505 sounding as good as I can. Thanks for all of the information, and help.
 
Not a bad idea to sell it on if you don't want to have to dedicate a bunch of space and time to your system right now.
I'd say that price isn't bad at all though if you can test it and guarantee it works you'll likely get a few hundred dollars more. You should definitely be able to spruce up your current system and buy a bunch of music with the proceeds.
