Sony TA1120A; only one channel in Stereo mode

Fired up my system today and only had sound from one channel, the left. Thought it was a speaker issue, but when I switched the output to right only the speaker came on. It plays in all modes it should including L+R and Reverse, just not in stereo. With my limited knowledge not sure where to investigate. Help appreciated.

So I’m back to having this issue. It’s only been a few weeks since I last cleaned the selector and I only have one channel again. Could this be an issue other than a dirty switch?

Locate that wafer switch. Carefully wiggle the wafers to locate that problem child.

Listen !!....Slightly wiggling the wafers will help locate which wafer is actually the problem and needs some attention.May just need a good cleaning or some other mechanical adjustment.

AND.......Some wafers, switches or pots require repeat cleanings until the problem goes away completely. I'd DeOxit ALL switches, pots on the front, as the signal could be going thru tape monitor switches, Mon/Stereo, and all controls before out to the speakers.
 
Spent some time checking things out and noticed I get great stereo sound in other modes. Seems this may be an issue with the Phono 1 input. Still some work to do to narrow down to the actual cause.
 
My daughter bought a Bluetooth karaoke mic yesterday and I let her use my system to try it out. I had the same stereo issue with the mic input. Is there a common link between the mic and phono 1 inputs?
 
It appears from the available schematics that the MIC and PHONO inputs share the same equalization amplifier stages. There are also about a dozen switches between the input RCAs and the amplifier.
