Sony TC-630D running too fast?

The tape is running WAY too fast, like it's fast forwarding. It changes slightly when I switch the speed but just barely.

The pinch roller is also not touching the tape/capstan shaft, which isn't a mechanical issue since the pinch roller can't be pushed any farther than it already is, so I can't tell if this is by design or not.
Does this mean I need a new pinch roller?
Is that related in any way to the speed issues?

Edit: I also lubed some mechanical parts, which didn't help. It's also not a problem with the power since I'm in the US and it's a 60hz 120V model

I watched the video... the pinch roller is not moving towards the capstan, or barely. You might want to get a new pinch roller but that will not fix the problem, take up torque is pulling the tape at it's speed. You will need to disassemble the transport to enable removing the capstan lever to clean it's pivot shaft, bushing, and any articulating linkage, and anything else while apart that looks in need of attention. The old lubricant has hardened into a poor glue, they are somewhat known for this... a nice machine that responds well to basic service.

Ah ok, that makes sense. Thanks for your advice, I'll do that instead.
