SoTa Pyxi MM version test thread

What loading choices, one fixed, two switchable, would be best for a MM/MI/HOMC only phono stage?

It is likely that by the time it gets to me the one week period will not work out for me so I'm dropping so as to not hold things up. Thanks.

Hi! I have the new front and rear panels for the MM unit, and I have time to start the process. Is everyone comfortable with me listing the testers on this thread and making the arrangements that way, or would you prefer to do it by PM? The PM way would be far less convenient unless someone knows how to have nine participants in a single PM exchange.
if you click on a persons name, say mine for example , and start a conversation that name gets put into a "recipient " line. You then can just add more user names that will be included in the conversation.

But here or in PM is fine with me.

Thanks Athanasios. I haven't heard from everyone yet, so it's good to have the option.

Any news on the possible availability to purchase this version? Any compelling reason to go with the MM-only version with a 3mV MI like the Nagaoka MP-300?

It depends on the cartridge coil impedance. I can't find any info. for that.
The MM test is just about over. I'll report the results to SoTa and the rest is up to them. They don't have any obligation to report future intentions or sales figures for the Pyxi to me.

Thanks Wyn. Only thing I found (supposedly from Nagaoka) was 720mH for the MP-500 which uses, I think, the same generator as the MP-300.
