Spare 6 Pin Spring Connector for ADS 910 (Maybe also used in 2002)

I want to build my own crossovers for a set of ADS 910s. While I could canibalize the originals or just cut and splice, I'd really like to make drop-in replacements that I could swap back-and-forth with the originals for comparison.

Anyone have an idea where I might source this part (the six hole female inlet) from?

I'm not sure what you're getting at. I made a drop-in board that would accommodate both the smaller electrolytic and larger poly caps and swapped back and fourth before deciding on caps. I'd have liked to have another pair of stock ADS terminal plates as it would've sped up the process a bit.

Those look great! Where'd you get the circuit board?

I added a pic of the connector I'm talking about. Looks similar (but not quite the same) as the connector on your larger board.

Thanks. I actually designed the circuit board in Photoshop to accomodate the connector and the actual physical dimensions of the capacitors. A local printer printed the design onto the blank PCB and I gave it the bath in ferric chloride (eats copper).
If you don't have luck with that pretty cool connector that Nerdorama found, I used this board mount connector
available at Digikey (I can't remember where I got mine off the top of my head) with all of the corresponding parts that go along with it. The bad part is that solder points on your board would need to be able to accomodate the 5.7mm distance (see solder points below) between the pins AND you're going to spend about 40 bucks setting them up on the new boards and converting the originals. I'd hunt for the PCB version of that other one first Who knows? Maybe you can disassemble one of the cable ones and make it work.

That's impressive!
When I got mine, the connectors were ok, but needed some work. I deoxited them, and bent the contacts a bit for a much tighter connection. No more problems with drivers cutting out.

Amongst the many things coursing through the brain at any given moment is the elimination of the spade connectors in this project. Those things were designed by the same guy who first painted on cave walls.

No worries... have been quite familiar with those since running into them on the ADS 2002/Nak 250 systems years ago. Hadn't realized ADS used that board mount version on the 910 until I ran across this thread, though - learn something new every day!

When I replaced mine, years ago, the PC board socket wasn't available so I used a cable connector type with 3 or 4 inch leads to the pc board. Worked great. It was the socket on the board that got flaky so the first link above is what I used and left off the back shell. Looked like this:
