a/d/s L1290/2 Crossover Capacitor Repair/Restore/Upgrade
I know this has been generally discussed, but any specific advice for these speakers would be greatly appreciated. They are an original pair of L1290/2's and I'd say it's time to rebuild/upgrade the crossovers. I have NO experience or know-how and, as Richard So appears to be unavailable these... -

Ads l810 vs Heresy ii - which one?

Someone grabbed the KLH 5s before I could get to them, but grabbed the little a/d/s of CL For $120
So far happy with them. They aren't efficient as I would like for a small wpc tube amp, but good in the home office. They're a/d/s L470/2. Seem to be good for vocals with a decent low end. Played a few Blue Note/Verve 180g reissues through them and they sounded great. One to watch for on the cheap. -

A/D/S L880/2 Speakers, what is a fair price?
I'm a big fan of A/D/S and have been collecting their creations for years. This pair of L880s are in fantastic shape. Couple shots of an ADS 910 recap
After experimenting with some option, I found Clarity Cap worked nicely on the tweeter. Clear but not harsh. The one mod I decided on was halving the value to the resistors on High Frequency Cut 1. Takes the edge off without sounding dull or loosing any of the airiness. -
