Probably plays right into your olive oil remark, but to me it's something more akin to rite of passage than badge of honor. But I'm guessing you probably had that figured out.Bully for you that you're fortunate enough to have such a nice supply of quality cabling.
And, despite drawers full, here's yet another experiment in the works. Maybe one day a piece of spaghetti will stick to the wall.

I buy most of my cables second hand, and generally focus on dialectric, rather than conductor. Furukawa from Japan made some great stuff.
Best new deal I got was from vintage audio lab in Taiwan, 3m terminated pair of 6awg cable, with a perforated teflon dialectric for £90. Is surprisingly flexible.

My loudspeaker cables are cheap - I mean not costy and not shitty - and they work as expected... The only discarding point is the section : it must be 2.5mm², not smaller :
For wiring my enclosures, I use industrial flexible cable, in 2.5mm² for Woofers, and 1.5mm² for Midranges and Tweeters :
Nothing "High End Unobtainium, Snake Oil Guaranteed" !

Nah, man, it's all good. I've never, ever experimented with speaker wire. Always used whatever I could get my hands upon.
To hear something really open up and separate things the way I'm hearing these do, well, it's .....dammit, here I go again......like being in love.
You want to TELL OTHERS. My olive branch was the continuous and perpetual attempt I've made to not insult anyone's choices, financial investments, or other sundry issues that so often muddy the waters. I'm having fun, I want others to as well. You seemed to be bristled a bit, and I wanted you to know nothing was aimed at you, or anyone else. Frustration with trying to keep things civil spills the banks, sometimes.
If you've climbed the mountain, and are on the way back down, then again, good for you, and your input is valued.
The printed word on a screen isn't a substitute for vis-a-vis conversation, so that's why I get wordy trying to explain myself.
I would love to pics of that 6awg speaker cable if you have them.
Individually insulated ofc or annealed conductors in twisted pairs does improve fidelity. Dielectric also matters. In addition to PTFE/ teflon, PE or FEP film is great and something to look for in cat cables when re-purposing them for audio.

Just need some type of adapter to fit your type of speaker/amp terminal. Maybe a nail bent at a 90 degree angle and screwed down in the post. Would be easier if you have spring type connectors. Just stick a nail in there and clamp on the jumper cable. Not kidding!
