can anyone ID the brand or model number for me???

Micro Acoustics.

I picked up a set of Micro-Acoustics FRM-2 speakers as part of a lot that looked like those. They sounded good but not amazing. Put them on Craigslist, got a couple offers in the $30-40 range, eventually sold them for $50 a couple months later. The cabinets were really heavy particle board. I wouldn't bother with another pair in the future.

I had a pair of the FRM-1, designating five tweeters in each box. Very lively and forward sounding, i.e. West Coast.
